It's harder to ignore that kind of thing when it comes from those you love, but you have to remind yourself that you are never going to please everyone when it comes to how you look. As long as you are happy with your choices, then that's all that should matter.

But really, I've never understood why people get so worked up/judgemental over something as basic as how you choose to adorn yourself. It's even worse that people feel like they have a right to make a comment on it as if to suggest you change.
