So the last club night didn't go down so well. Not nearly enough people for the size of the club, but Thursday nights is fucking difficult.
I have zero fan-base in Tokyo. Quite honestly, all I have is respect from people who know me and nothing more. I really don't know how to build one. I could get booked for 3 gigs per month, and ALL OF THEM would be some less-than desirable slot.
To be quite honest, for as often as I play in Tokyo, I haven't had a prime-time slot at a good night since the first time I played Soi. For everyone to respect how good I am, I don't see how shoving me in some early or late time slot is helping me. It seems like, you know, I'm playing a lot, you know I'm probably one of the best you can get, but I'm wondering if I should be thankful that I'm even getting to play or is playing late or insanely early even worth my time?
Maybe I'm just too hungry.

Nothing wrong with hunger, it makes you strive for better things.
