I fucking hate this lineup.
I think this is the first time I've been on a lineup, and I've looked at it and thought, "What the fuck am i doing here?"
I suppose the language barrier keeps me out of most of the planning process for the party, so I just sit back and hear the minutes from the meeting (which, is usually the pre-flyer... yeah...) and I've really got nothing but discontent for this.
This was why the rest of the Soi crew didn't see me in February.
Me: "Are you coming to Neon sunday?"
Dx: "No. I don't think we will. There are too many DJs. Wall of sound."
That left an impression on me. So I look at the lineup and I think:
1. We have our main residents (including me)
2. We have our one guest, who is opening. Some dude from NZ who I don't like. Dude don't even say hi to me anymore. Most of the "gaijin crew" as I call them band together, and I'm outside of that, alongside Freddy, we don't deal with them.
3. And then... we have a guest... crew...? Where the fuck did that come from? I love NEON, I've had them on the show, but now we got 8 DJs on the main floor for a Thursday night.
Y'all are shittin me right? 8 DJs?
So I'm playing 45 minutes?
Sometimes it's not even worth the effort of sweating it...

What is up with Drum & Bass and short sets? It's bad enough the big raves just have the same old names, but then it gets worse when they end up dropping the same party tunes of the moment just to make an impact in such a short time slot. We are fans of good music, we don't have attention deficit disorder.
