Last night, a woman wrecked outside the house where I work. Dreading what I might find, I told my staff to call 911 and raced to see if the driver was okay. Luckily, she was okay, but even if she hadn't been, I refuse to be like the people in the cars that I watched speed by. What happened to our species? Do we just not care anymore? Never assume folks. Those few seconds you choose to go on instead of stop can mean the seconds it would have taken to save someone's life. I got lucky. Someone else might not.
Moments like this make me question the future of our species.
