One of my two bansai bamboo trees is officially dead today. I'd like the SG flag at half-staff for the remainder of the week.
I guess it's not all that bad, considering this one almost lasted a year, and the other one is still going strong. I'm just spoiled; the last set of bansai bamboo I had lasted over two years, from the baby shower for my godson until the week of his second birthday.
All of this should be seen as a good sign to girls out there... a guy who can keep a frickin plant alive for over two years? That just screams relationship material.
More weird shit: I came home from my friend's house the other night to find my floor covered with ants. COVERED. In the two hours between getting off of work and getting home that night, the ants found my shoes, found the food I'd spilled on my shoes at work, and began their invasion. So I took a full watergun, added about a shotglass of bleach, and sprayed down their little trails with it. By morning, they were all gone.
