Countdown to destruction, debt reduction.
26 days of straight work, donating plasma, eating ramen, and all of my debt will be gone, and maybe my sanity and health as well. I just want to get back into the game and meet da ladies.
I'm so awesome. Not many people can pull themselves out of dark pits like I do.

I'm tired. I've been up since 5:30am. My son started school today, so it's been a long day. I need to sleep. Hopefully, I'll be out of here in about 40 minutes. Go home and sleep.

Surely SOME of it means a damn thing.
I'm back to 40 hours a week at the janitorial job, at least ntil I'm laid off. Did that so I can not take the transfer I've been offered, and just start training at the shoe place (which is what i want to do.)
if I work 40 hours a week, skimp on food (mmm ramen, hehe) and maybe go donate plasma, I can have...

Ramen is your best friend when you're broke.
Worst purchase.....We bought a crib set for our first child which cost way too much money. Of course, we didn't realized it until after we purchased it. I still have the crib, for my daughter now. But I still think we spent too much.

If you would like a free Gmail account (Google e-mail), be one of the first five of my friends to visit my journal and say so. I have five invites to spare.
So.
There's this wedding.
In Idaho.
That I can go to.
If I go, I miss 3 days of work, plus it will cost 80-100 bucks for gas, and I don't even know if my car will (or should) make it. Then there's the family to deal with.
Logistically, I'm going to lose $300 to go to this. I'm probably not going to attend.

It says you'd rather earn money and scrape up a living than go broke to see your friends for 1 day. I'm sure they'll understand. Sucks, though.
sweetbuns:
Well, it means you've grown up and responsible. There will be other times to see your friends.
looking forward to work... As much fun as sitting all week is, I'd like to be making money.
Not lookinf forward to graveyard work though. I hate Hate HATE IT. ah well, maybe only another 2 weeks of it left.
What I really hate is being too tired or busy on the weekends to get out and do stuff, err, get out and meet people,...

hello there... haven't talked in a bit- how is everything?

It was and is still a 66 mustang. She sits out in the front of my house waiting for me to fix her up! I'll never ever sell her! *waves fists at people and their unacceptable offers*
Am I always upbeat? hmmm...No. haha. Bt if you are my friend then it may seem like it, cause if I didn't have a fun 'upbeat' time around someone... that= no friendship.
But most of the time when people see me they think I am mad or sad about something. Sometimes its due to the way my eyebrows look (high arched), and sometimes its just the shape of my eyes (they look sad sometimes). But most of the time (about 95%) I'm usually cranking the gears in my brain, so I guess it's the "Look of Concentraition/Thought" that people perceive as mad or unhappy. *shrugs*
The worst thing that has ever happened to me...that's a tough question!
There have been some pretty bad and upsetting instance that I can think of, but all have usually lead up to better things happening, so I don't know if it is safe to say they were truely 'the worst time(s)'.....
*sigh*
I don't think there has been anything that bad to really make note of or consider it to be the 'worst thing' that's happened to me. I would def. rank my car accident as an impactful experience, but not the worst =)

I'm actually tired of typing.
I've recently aquired ownership of the "Christian" group on this site. my dear friend Oraaaaange is leaving (I'll miss ya bunches!) and she asked me to take over for her.
Nothing else is new.
What do you want your epitaph on your tombstone to say?

You sound very grounded and intelligent, Leaves. It's good to know that there are people like you who don't try to convert the masses or judge others for their beliefs. You are a rarity, my friend, and a welcome one at that. Glad to know you realize that I wasn't attacking you; rather, I was questioning "historical accuracies" in the bible.
Which isn't to say that there aren't historical accuracies in the bible. There are, without a doubt. But I don't see how, on a whole, that it can be treated as (pardon the term) gospel truth. There is much (at least in my eyes) that requires a great deal of faith to accept at face value.
But perhaps that's the whole point - taking it all on faith. If that's the case, then I'm afraid that I'm a bit of a doubting Thomasina.
At any rate, here's some questions for you to start off with:
Noah's Ark - how could one man living in ancient times manage to build a boat massive enough to house 2 of every land-based animal on the planet? Further, how could that man possibly manage to collect 2 of every creature on earth, when there were areas of it unheard of at the time? What happened to the ark? Where is the scientific proof that a deluge great enough to cover the surfaces of the earth ever happpened in history? Why does no other religious or historical document of the same era make no mention of it?
Hope that's not to many questions to start you off with...

"faith is "trusting in something you have reason to believe is true""
But what is the reason? Science??? Logic???
Would you disagree that reason has a limit when it comes to God? A limit set by God?
I'm probably trying to push something here that isn't directly related to biblology, which is why I'm posting here instead...

well, I'm not getting a severance. I still don't have a job to replace this one (my shoe repair job will be slow going and probably not more than 20 hours a week. if I wanna get all my debt paid off by christmas, I'll need something more, at least for a few months. I tooth my son to the dentist
This is funny.
So you WANT the pain huh? Hmm... Ever see Little Shop of Horrors, the remake with Rick Moranis? And the bit with the dentist where Bill Murray is all jazzed about the pain... that was a funny bit.

I'm getting laid off at work, things with that girl I was trying to see didn't work out, and I'm looking for a job still. I might have a nice one lined up, but it's still in the waiting phase and even then, it's only probably 20 hours max.
