So I'm going to let you in on a secret. But, I'd hate for everyone to find out, so only people who have working mousebuttons can read the spoiler.

SPOILERS! (Click to view)
Atheism is a religion. It's a faith. A religion is a worldview that answers the following questions:

1. where did I come from?
2. What is the "problem" of man?
3. What will happen to me when I die?

All worldviews have answers to these questions, even if the answers are as simple as "I don't know" or "I don't want to answer". See, everyone is religious. They may not be actively proselytizing, but they are religious.

However, Atheists do very often preach about their faith. Oh, before you say "well, they don't have faith... they know!" that's simply not true. The statement "there is no god" is a universal negative according to logical thinking. It's like saying there are no black stones with pinkish specks on them. you would have to examine every single stone in the universe to know that, and that is impossible. But even more impossible is knowing the nonexistance of an infinite transcendent entity. Anyways, Atheists preach all the time about their faith. in classrooms, and in colleges, and whereever they feel their hatemongering will do them good.

Which is one reason I hate the misquote of the first ammendment "Separation of Church and state". It says that congress shall make no law regarding the establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. But you say church, and all of a sudden it's Christianity that's the pushy badguy. Secular humanism and Atheism have been the primary religions taught in our schools for the past 50 years.

well, now that I got that out of my system, I get paid on thursday. that's exciting. What else... oh, I got some maker's mark, and it was good. what else.... oh, I like talking to people. that's fun.

Consultation today. Iv'e got my idea pretty much locked in, except, here... maybe someone could help me.

You know those playskool peg people? the ones with the round heads and such? Can you think of a way to demonstrate these two of the seven deadly sins with them?

I think I have pride, greed, gluttony, lust, and sloth taken care of.

merritt:
And agnosticism? I'd actually say that church and state should stay separated because the state cannot know that god exists, or which god exists, and should not endorse one faith over another.

And teaching scientific method and theory is not the same as teaching atheism, because science is not a religion, and doesn't preclude or deny the existence of god.
