One thing I just noticed, in the Pilot episode of Firefly, Also called Serenity, The final scene was of Simon Tam and Mal Reynolds talking on the bridge, and Mal stresses the importance of just flying, of just being able to keep going one more day. That Serenity was enough. in the Movie, A similar Scene takes place between Simon's sister River and Mal, and they discuss The fundamental thing that makes Serenity so special. It's a great parallel that I'm sure Joss intentionally placed.
