I "zap" tested a bit of the soap from the edges when I peeked this time to make sure it has enough heat. NO ZAP! woohoo. Now I just need to do the same with each bar when I cut it tonight, but I have high hopes now!

I couldn't help it. I peeked at my soap that's "gelling" in the bedroom. It looks like soap so far I now have a space heater aimed at it on low because I was concerned it wasn't insulated enough, though when I peeked, it was warm inside the mold. First batch of soap is setting right now. It's 7lbs of olive/coconut/palm oil pure soap. No scent, no color. This is my first attempt at an all natural baby soap good for very sensitive skin. We'll see what happens.

We're getting together all the supplies for soapmaking. Just looking for the best local suppliers of the oils and lye needed. Of course, it takes over a month to cure the soap, so nothing will be available right away, but this is really going to happen!
