Ewww. I was typing this nice long blog and it got lost on me.

So here goes again, most likely missing some things from the original.

The official announcement: Finneas Gage was born a very healthy little boy on January 12, 2009 at 3:22pm weighing 7lbs, 5oz and measuring 20 1/4" long.

I want to thank everyone for their good wishes and congratulations. I never intended to actually give birth in chat, but after my sister updated you guys to let you know I was about to start pushing, she turned the cam and told me to wave. I was so out of it, I didn't care.

All in all it was about 15 hours of labor, 1 of actual pushing once I got in the pool. I'm so glad I did a home birth. I can't imagine going through that in a hospital with people I didn't trust. It was great to have people that cared for me there, even if it was their job. My midwife, her assistant, and my doula are all beautiful women and helped me through my contractions with understanding and genuine love rather than drugging me up and I wouldn't have it any other way. That being said, I NEVER want to give birth again. Ever.
