my sickness is pretty much gone. hooray!
yesterday i did my second close alone. and by alone, i mean that my boyfriend came in and swept and mopped and kept me company. it took me an hour less than last time, but i can't help but wonder how much progress that actually would have been if he hadn't been helping. i was wondering how they might penalize me if anyone came in to see my boyfriend helping after close, but i decided a) if anybody else had any inclination to come by that late at night, i wouldn't be working that shift alone and b) the worst they could do is fire me and that wouldn't be so horrible.
in any case, i didn't go home in tears again. and i was 2 soups, 7 cookies and 4 apple ciders richer.
mat and i are not doing anything special for valentine's... we both have to work until 11 anyway. but this morning we slept in and made cinnamon rolls and watched episodes of futurama. that's pretty good.
love to everybody who needs it... i know this can be a stressful day for some.
update: i showed mat MistressMissy's journal today and said "oooh look one of my suicidegirl friends got proposed to!" and he ran and came to look at the pics and said "i don't know how i'm ever gonna get a ring for you." aaaaaaaaaw. i said "you know i'll probably marry you someday." and he got all sheepish and cute and said "i know, but sssh, we're not supposed to talk about it."
when he got home from work, he brought strawberry ice cream and had bought coconut foot rub! he sat me down with a movie and some ice cream and massaged my feet and i gave him about a bajillion kisses and snuggles. i am the luckiest girl ever.

and evan bought my ring i think cuz he just got his tax return back. also it was on sale.
you and mat will have to cross the lake and come to our wedding...in 2007 hahaha
