hey, i know this is something pretty basic, but can i get some help? i searched on google but all i get is a bunch more damned search engines.

i'm looking for help on modifying my myspace.com profile. i know basic html, but i can't figure out how to change the background color. i know the tag body <bgcolor=" ">, but whenever i type it in to one of my description lines in my profile it doesn't change anything. am i missing something? i'd like to change the color of the bar that says "so-and-so's blurbs" and the text for the words "about me", etc. because these things are outside of the actual text you are allowed to type, for the life of me i don't know how you're supposed to go about changing them. but i know you can, because i've seen it done.

anyone know how?
