last night i went to a party. people at the party got drunk. a girl got into a fight with her boyfriend and she punched him. then he punched her, threw her on the ground and began beating the shit out of her.
then my boyfriend threw that guy off of her, and she was bleeding out her eye. the boy was kicked out, and we took the girl to the emergency room.
she was very poor. i hate that we had to think about that when taking her to the hospital. i hate knowing that getting her medical attention will cost her several hundred dollars that i know she doesn't have.
on the cab ride home, mat told the driver the story. when he told the driver how he wrestled the guy off of the girl, the driver stopped the meter.
