Just came back from an interview for a desktop publisher position.
It's actually a pretty cool story(well....maybe not but your going to hear about it anyway damitt!!!) Last night I went off to work at the DVD place after a fairly successful site launch! (only a day over due, but not my fault I swear!!!) Feeling all good, that everything but the bugs have been worked out. I play Aliens 2 as soon as I stroll through the door( sweet movie) and follow it up with some death race 2000(fuck yeah!) all in all a good day!
I get home to find a message that my board will be ready this saterday, and find miss lovely pants waiting up for me,(rare because she has to get up at 4:30 to get to work). I roll in, check the message, do a little dance, find her awake and beaming brighter than I am!
"why are you still awake?"
"Check your e-mails"
" I don't care about my e-mails...I'm getting my board Saterday!!!!!" doing another little dance
"Just go check them"
Yeah like I'm really expecting anything, I'm thinking....oh I wonder....... what disgusting 70's afro porn my uncle has dug up for me, or another one of those lame ass animated gif postcards your moms are always sending.
"I jump on surf around before I take a look just to annoy the "Boss", do a little chair dance for the longboard gods, and settle into the e-mails.
Taking my sweet ass time scanning whats there waiting for new one's to arrive.........
I notice one that catches my eye.."McNally Robinson Bookstore" and I don't even notice the one that just arrives with the catchy title of: "Enlarge your penis size right now!!!"
fuck that I jump straight to the Mc Nally one.
a little sub story, Two months ago I went around the city with resume's with only my e-mail address to see if anyone would actually contact me , or they would just automatically toss me aside. and guess what comes next........yep you guessed it boys and girls, this was one of them!!!! And the real kicker, I wasn't even looking for a desktop publishing job, I was just looking for a peon job as a book pimp, to suppliment my new found wonderlust.
So to make a long story even longer, I called today to set up an interview for the weekend, but talking to the manager of the store, she decides that she wants me to come in right away for a little chat.
so this, that, and another thing later, I find out that she has a total of three people to interview and she needs to hire them within the week.( meaning that this job won't have time to be posted in the papers or anything) so fuck yeah, i'm bursting at the seams right now. She said that she would call me by friday, or that I could call her.

So the show was good, huh? I never actually intended to go check it out - I've kinda tapped out my concert fund for a couple months. Apparently Speedo did an interview on CJSW - I wasn't around to hear it, but they said it was pretty funny.

There were rockabilly fans at a RFTC show? Weird. I'm not a huge fan of theirs, but I know enough about their styles that I wouldn't call it even close to rockabilly. Have you heard the "Guided Tour of Camp X-Ray" disc? It's basically "Live from Camp X-Ray" with Speedo blabbibg about more or less nothing between songs. I reviewed it for the station a couple months ago. Kind of interesting/

that's awesome that you didn't give up on surfing after a bad experience. but sorry to say, you'll be hard pressed to find some decent surf action in this country. although Tofino on Van.Island is not too bad if the weather is just right.

Carlton scored a magnificent victory over those wankers Essendon last night.
Obviously I'm stoked with the win,but it also snapped me out of the drunken depressed bad mood i was in.

My pitbull's name is Jezebel and I just bought her a electric blue slave collar, with 3 o rings... It's a beauty!!! She had a black leather one before but it got destroyed (I had another dog she use to wrestle with)
