Seems I'm growing more and more annoyed with holidays as the years pass...

I honestly played sick just to get out of thanksgiving last year. I do think it was the best thanksgiving I had ever had. There was no rushing from one house to another. I laid around watching football as four groups of loyal family members brought me plates of food.

I've just about given up on Christmas as well. Rushing to see people I only see on holidays, because family or not, they are not so important in my life that I don't spend any time with them except on holidays. Yes, I do truly find enjoyment watching the children enjoying opening thier presents, yet only until the day comes when they are more concerned about getting the presents that they wanted, then they are happy about getting presents or believing in ol' Saint Nick.

Ok, don't get me wrong, I will always love the 4th of July, but mostly for my love of watching things blow up. But even then I grow cinical as the masses that are too drunk or too stupid to be handing explosives do so. And it seems those idiots for the most part always avoild damage while wrecking havok upon other peoples fun or injuring only everyone else.
