plus we made sure there were no speeches or other ridiculousness at our wedding.
but today, today i walked into my local computer store and bought my wife a $1249 ibook with a few signatures. i say i bought, but it'll get paid for out of our joint account, and our joint money-making efforts. nonetheless, it felt really cool to let 3 or 4 conversations take the place of an armload of cash.
