I'm pretty stoked on life right now.
Tomorrow is Monday which would usually mean I'd be wallowing in self pity but I have tomorrow off and a four day weekend and in the past 2 days have seen Fozzy/Buckcherry/Steel Panther Friday night and the UFC in Brisbane Saturday morning.
Then spent all of today on the couch in front of the TV watching old episodes of Boston Legal, because the party just never stops in my world.
The gig Friday night was fucking amazing even if the crowd was criminally small for Fozzy and Buckcherry and most people only arrived in time to see Steel Panther. I imagine this is probably a combination of the Riverstage having a stupid early curfew and the gig kicking off at 6pm Friday evening and a lot of people being stupid enough to pay $80 for a ticket just to see the one band on the bill.
I'd never actually seen Buckcherry before but they blew my fucking mind. Obviously gratuitous but genuinely tight and there were times where the vocals sounded like fucking Danzig or some shit. Just brilliant.
Now I have a 3 day week to look forward to then I'm off to New Zealand (Wellington) for 4 days. It's been over a year since I was last there and I absolutely the place. It's amazing, the people are awesome and the drinks are cheap.
