and the saga continues....
2 weeks today we get to blow this joint...England that is, dont get me wrong i kinda like my country...cant say im particularly patriotic tho....i just need to see the world, feel a change. i love london, but i hear that the condors in the colca canyon are just amazing!! and how appropriate just heard the opening bars from walk on the wild side sampled by tribe called quest.
im at work, outside the rain falls heavily, and the air in here is hot and humid, metal floor, mirrored ceiling...we're all hot, those around me suffer the daily hangover, others are ill, several ppl are absent... the heat doesnt help. i feel on the verge of flu, the neurofen has taken the edge off of the symptoms, temps down, headaches gone but i got the feeling the worst is yet to arrive.
we're dealing with lots of money and that makes people anxious, and snappy, sometimes devious, but i endeavor to enjoy the experience for there are only 8 days left here, and i reckon ill eventually look back and smile at the days ive spent here, even tho, overall the experience has probably shortened my lifespan
.... the time to leave is nigh, i love the technology here, and i know as a small kid id have been so happy to know id be workin here. trouble is i just get complacent now about all the wicked toys, take them for granted. i wanna get excited by this stuff again, well you know, the buzz.
its quiet now, calm before the storm...i wish it was the eye of the storm, cause that would inevitably mean only 2 more ppl to serve all day
but soon they will come, in large numbers waving crumpled white reciepts and i will have to mobilise...i.e. get off my arse and run up and down some rickety stairs.
ok ill dream of falling bungee style and swimming
soon
