well I called my insurance company this morning and because I don't have collision on my policy they can't do anything. They said if I get the plate number of the other car I can contact their insurance but that is all I can do.
and even better was that the witness was a retired cop
I think thats the only reason why I HAD a witness call it in.
I was slightly satisified that I saw, before he/she took off, that there was quite a bit of damage on their front bumper. I called the state troopers back this morning to find out if they had received any more information and they told me about the witness but that I would have to call the state trooper that was on the case. He may or may not be on today. If he is he will be on at 3pm so I'm going to try again then. All else fails I will try to leave a message.
