So, last night, after two sentences of prodding from the mostly loverly Quirky, I dyed my hair purple.
I missed the purple greatly, and it looks fantastic. I'll post some pictures later.
I've come to realize that my mom is even more bull-headed than I am, and not in a good way. She chooses to be ignorant so she can keep on thinking whatever it is she's thinking. In this case, it was politics. She's all gung-ho for Hillary Clinton, and I'm simply gung-ho for democratic. I haven't made up my mind yet, and I probably won't until I get more information (which, honestly, I get most from here). Yet she totally bashes Obama on a regular basis, saying he refused to stand for the pledge of allegiance. That's one hell of a shitty reason for not liking someone, in my opinion, especially since I've found out since that it's not true. Whenever I informed her of this, she quickly snapped at me that I "wasn't going to change her mind" and that she "doesn't care".
Now I hope that Obama wins the election so she has to deal with it. I know why she doesn't like him, it's because of his Muslim background, but she'll never say it. I just think it's mighty shitty of her to judge a person based on something someone in their family, hell, even they, believe in religiously instead of on who they are. Religion is simply part of someone, it doesn't make the person. I am not Satanism, I am a Satanist, but that doesn't mean that I'm a bad person, I'm a pretty good person (or so I like to think), and the person who judges me and chooses not to be my friend or what have you is the one losing out.
And now, I go drink a glass of water from the opposite side because I have hiccups.
(I know that doesn't work)
Call me!
