Diary of a SuperWoman
So... I've started remodeling the living room.
After throwing out my back yesterday, and doping myself up on painkillers, I'm up and ready to cause more mayhem, which will eventually lead to a really awesome looking room.
In Figure A you'll see the old living room, before it was painted, and with something that is totally not there now.
What's missing, you ask?
The border. That's wood that's been nailed into the drywall. So I've been very very carefully removing it. And if you look closely, you'll see small pieces of drywall that are covering up cracks between sheets of drywall. I'm removing those too and filling in the gaps with caulk. Then I get the pleasure of repainting!
But not just yet. I have a lot more to do. I have one more wall to remove the wood from, but, the couch is up against that wall, and even though my back feels fine, I don't want to risk it.
I've been using a paint scraper as a wedge and hammering it to remove the strips of drywall, works pretty damn well, only problem in that being that it creates more area for me to have to paint over. No biggie though. That room will look fantastic once I'm finished with it.
