So... the Cavalier finally died on me.
At least I think it has. I took it down to Wendy's to get some foodles, and while I was waiting on my food, it overheated.
Thus begins a very interesting night.
I turn it off, the guy gives me my food, and I shift it into neutral to walk it over to a parking spot so it can cool down.
Well... easier said than done. I get it close to the spot, and it starts to roll back, almost rolling over my foot. I slide in, slam the break, and then try as I might, I can only get it to rock back and forth from that spot.
Thankfully, a nice guy came over and helped me get it into that parking spot.
So then I sit and wait. And wait. ....and wait. Finally it stops making the bubbling noise, so, I go to see if I can turn it on. Well, it turns on for a second, and then shuts off. So I leave it off. Just as I'm walking up to the store to see if I can use a phone/phonebook to call the hubby at work (since his work is a decent walk from wendy's, but still really close) so I can see if he can come and pick me up and take me home, they close. Drivethru is still open, but just that.
Thankfully, again, another nice guy tries to use information on his cell to find the number... but they didn't have it. So, I talked to the manager at Wendy's, and they said they're not going to have the car towed, so, I let the kind stranger take me home.
And low and be-fuckin-hold, the honey is home on break. I could have just called home and he would have answered.
So, I came in, and told him what happened. Now, if he can come home on his lunch break, which I think he just did, we're going to head over there and see if we can get the car to start again.
What a night.
Edit: Yeah, it's dead. Like dead dead. Time to call my dad and beg him to get me a car like he promised. Hell, wedding gift anyone?

The reason I'm so excited is that I got the freelance job I wanted... writing about video games! Woohoo! I totally cried when Aeris died. I'm such a dork. When FF9 came out... I actually took vacation days from work.
