Took the perfect hike this weekend! :) Headed a bit more west to Brainard Lake and hiked the Long Lake trail then some. It went from a clear warm day to slightly chilly thunderstorms š which was so fricking cool! I was thriving and trail traffic was almost nothing! That 100% contributed to SEEING A MOOSE for the first time ever!!!!! And it was sooooo fricking close. This trail was nothing but rewarding and I strongly suggest it if you find yourself in Colorado. Cannot believe the endless list of beautiful things I live less than an hour away from in every direction. š

Moose are amazing!Ā They're so well adapted to moving through forest and over trees that have fallen.Ā Ā I saw some in Yellowstone NP in February.
