Ladies and Gentlemen, I am happy to report that July 4th was a success and all of my limbs/appendages are intact.
We started the festivities around 2 as my family started filtering in. My friends were showing up by 3 and we hung out on the lawn. I rolled my car up to our "play area" so we could have some muzak to go along with our Extreme Whiffle Ball and Extreme Ultimate Frisbee Challenge. Good good times. Great laughs, great food and great company.
It finally got dark enough at 10 to start up the fireworks. What happens when you take $300 worth of fireworks, a rousing soundtrack from Celldweller, Bon Jovi and Apoptygma Berzerk and road flares? You get THE PENULTIMATE JULY 4th CELEBRATION 2005. Oh yes, it was awesome and no injuries were suffered...except for a little burn I got on my finger when the flare started flaring too much...anybody wanna kiss it and make it all better?
