thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes....
on saturday i met up with fresa for a little bit downtown before i went to the theater end of the year shindig. i took 8 blue moons to the party thinking that would be suffice for the all night festivities. i put a couple in the fridge when i showed up (spoiler: bad idea) and went about drinking and schmoozing with everyone. it was a classy affair and us dressed up techies had a grand ole time. my two fridge beers got jacked so i mooched somebody's bud light, drank my other beers surprisingly quick, got a mini-serenade at midnight for the bday, found a couple random drinks (one orange and one blue) during the party and finished those as well......flirted with a cute psw towards the end of the night and got her number which was nice. i've tried not to date other theater girls in the past, mostly because i don't need the drama, so we'll just see how this pans out.
sunday afternoon i went to my parent's house for a bbq and hung with a few friends and family. i played beer pong with my brother against my best friend from high school with my ex girlfriend. we lost because my brother sucks because he is older and sophisticated and works in an office and is kinda lame when it comes to drinking (i blame religion), but there's still hope for him yet, next year! i played some 1 v 1 later in the night against my friend matt, won that one, killed mike and matt at quarters and caps, and then decided we needed to play full cup water pong so i could sober up and drive back to my place up north. the water definitely sobered me up, but i felt so bloated for the rest of the night, a terrible decision indeed.
i got a book (the road), some movie tickets, an 18 pack of hamm's, gift certificates to safeway and chevron and mass effect 2 pre-ordered as my gifts. a swell evening, and i even got some birthday nookie.....which is probably the most important thing.
this week i look forward to more office building work (read: shaving and shining my shoes, yuck) and finals. cheers.
