The main thing is to dry it IN HEAT immediately after picking (i.e. in the oven, over a fire). It's the heat that triggers the formation of the psychedelic compounds. If you don't get it hot enough, you'll just get sick.

And please note that amanita tripping is completely unlike other mushroom trips. It is not visual, hard on the body, and many people just don't like it. It was traditionally used as a shamanistic "flying" tool, so keep that in mind before eating... I recommend reading a lot about the effects before you decide to do it...
