Weird how I have the back to back "Deadwood" entries in my journal, but oh well...I took a motorcycle ride to Santa Clarita today to visit the Melody Ranch...My writing partner and I were invited to go check out the set of "Deadwood"...Earlier in the season the show's creator, David Milch had invited us out to check things out...We took a tour town...Went into all the characters business' and abodes...strolled the thouroughfair (sp?) and watched them shoot a little of the final episode of this season...It was pretty cool...Timothy Olyphant was there along with a few of the other stars...It was a heavy call list, but shit, they planned to shoot until 4am tomorrow morning...But it was cool I must say...It's amazing how different the weather can be out there...I hadn't driven that far in quite some time...Certainly never from a bike...I hadn't smelled grass and trees and bugs for some time...Well not trees and bugs anyway...

And I see you've been giving the boards a shot. You might be one of the few members since 02 with only 100 or so comments. At least those that haven't been lurking in the background...
