I ended up walking into a wierd art experiment. As I walked in I saw an old mate 'edward' who had been living in the squat that I had stayed in five years ago, in Amsterdam. He reminded me that during the three weeks I was there I had been involved in three evictions, had been on the Telly, and evaded several 'secret' police officers....

It has been over six months since I had a smoke! I think that I will be able to stay firmly committed to saying 'NO (thanks)'. I can go into smokey pubs and get drunk without having to be very careful to avoid smoking. One of the best things is that I have been free of non-smoking evangelism. Or to put it more clearly -...

Congrats.

I know what it is like. I started smoking when I was 12 and finally quit last September (I'm 31 now).

That was a rough month. biggrin

My lungs hurt eeek I'm sort of on and off, six months off then three on. I really should stop but I like a spliff. I think the social aspect is very hard to get over as all my friends smoke. The hardest bit for me though is having the will power every day for years. All it takes is one bad day and, bingo, smoking again.
Sad, I know frown

I am trying to get my good friend magpie to join SG! I am sure she would love it here. Anyway she pointed out to me that there is now a film out about John Constantine. I am shocked! I thought it would be a little known reference to Neil Gaimans' work that only the lovers of the Sandman would get. But unfortunately Keanu has...

I've not heard of the sea captain. Along similar lines to Tarantism? I sort of know the Tarantism guys through my mate Bedford Jon. He sometimes does their sound.

So. I changed my profile picture for something that is far more dark and mysterious. I am looking forward to playing with this aspect of SG. Its just a mask, whats behind it is what is important. If there is nothing behind the mask then so be it.

Anyway i really like the way the eyes in this picture almost 'look' in you.

I dunno....

Linda pies are so good it's untrue smile I'm vegan so I eat them lots. I even talked oour local landlord into getting some so I can go out for a top Sunday lunch smile I eat far too many Linda M sausages as well. Some days I am a total junk food vegan but hey, sausage, mushroom and toms in a sarny is hard to beat biggrin
Is Baraka that film/thing with some deep music and some intense images including a chicken processing plant? If it is, I have to agree that it is really good in a moving sort of way.
Dude I've just spotted Headmix. What a shame they split though? Do you like/Have you heard Tarantism?

AXIOM #1.

I have noticed in my short time here that SG is special. Where else can I hang out with such a diversity of folk? Such a wonderful cross section of society is here. We have the full spectrum of intelligence's, money, politics, and employment. There are cop's, civil servants, unemployed, tree surgeons, programmers, photographers, waitress's etc., ...all discussing, and chatting, and being friendly...

Ah me the sweet sound of gabba. Despite being pretty skint I spent money on petrol and drove for hours just to get a few solid hours dancing. I really like Industrial techno, gabba, hardcore, whatever name it currently goes under. The music just works - it makes me feel alive! So the drive was well worth the time and money. Sometimes, when I am...

I am somewhat concerned about this batch of flu. I see quite a few of us have had it. My mum phoned last night, and she told me in great detail about how this batch of flu had already gotten into the UK. It makes me want to run to the woods (any excuse).
Its funny how events always seem to collect together. I mean...
