travelling and returning. I love both. i love the perspective shifts that occur.

nlp tip. modal operators. if you find yourself saying something like 'i should _______', then notice how it feels. then try it again with a different 'modal operator', such as could, would, want to, might, have to, must, can, etc. notice any difference?

I'm experiencing my first smoke free 24 hours
How joyeous it is when mixed with anti maleria tablets
Have a good weekend Sitka. By the way, is there an arboreal reason behind the name?
Still not smoked anything
Feeling good about that balances out some of the bad feelings of nicotine withdrawal.

I have been having a burst of 3d graphics design which I am doing for my ongoing VJ projects. Got more gigs coming up soon. There seems to be an issue about what name to work under. So it goes, if they want my graphics, they can have them, and I will make some more. I really enjoy making things that will take the dancers...

I get the pacing thing. It's how everyone interacts, by mirroring (or not) the actions of others. Apparently, our opinion of another person is formed in the first 30 seconds of meeting them, then the next 9-10 minutes are spent confirming that view. It's how the human mind works, which is a bugger really because how can you know about someone in that period of time? Is the reaction to chemicals that trustworthy? A million failed relationships would seem to say no. Maybe, rather than the human being evolving and developing our senses, we've just learnt to develop our technology and let that do all the work for us.
Something to think about.

I had the joy of VJ'ing some of my own graphics last night. It was a top night, lots of beautiful people, lots of interesting geeks and great music.
I reckon that some of you were there.

what we have here @SG is a comment factory. V
Ok so maybe I think too much. but why are you reading this, why am i writing it, why write your journal? etc.
For me this is a cathartic journey, an ambition, a log. I notice however that I crave your feedback and comments and approval. Yet I know that I shouldn't...

I am interested in the SG 'friends' concept.
On the one hand it looks good to have lots of 'friends', and therefore be popular. BUT on the other had;
1. Friends indicate 'friendship',
2. 'friendship' requires time.
3.Time is by necessity limited.
4. Quality over quantity.
5. Although it might feel like a competition to get lots of 'friends', really there are no competitors.

It's true. I sometimes feel I'm neglecting my SG friends because I don't chat for a while. whether or not they worry about it, who knows? I'm happy with those I chat with so far, and would be equally happy to chat to more, but I think, like you said, when does it become just a list of names, rather than friends?

Heh, well Cheltenham is a hotbed of sexy naked women now. One thing that bothers me though: what is up with that fucking statue of the bull and hare in the town centre? It's terrifying!
time for a change.
So I go out and socialise with some mates that are streaming their show. That was really nice. They used my graphics again and want me to do more. yay.

Several days of illness. I wasn't sure if I was getting that flu thing. To give myself the best chance I have been taking it real easy. I hope that it has now passed. It feels like it has. Over the last few hours I drunk lots of fluids and all the symptoms seem to be abating.
