I've been watching a great Frontline series on PBS about Iraq.
A film crew follows different people (US soldiers, Iraqis, gvmt officials, insurgent families, religious leaders, etc) and lets them tell their stories with very minimal narration.
I knew it was horrifying over there, but I had no idea it was THAT bad.
Fucking asshole republicans saying "the media only covers the ocassional car bomb and not how life is getting so much better for the average Iraqi".
My god!
And the shit our soldiers go through everyday.
I thought I had some idea, but no - it's way worse.
