I woke up this morning with the itchiness everywhere. All over my hands, including my palms. THe soles of my feet, all down my arms and legs, my stomach, chest, and starting up my neck. I hurt everywhere. It was hard to even close my hands.
So I broke down and went to the doctor today. I have more than just poison ivy.
The first guy looked at me and said, "That's not poison ivy." He goes and looks in a book, comes back and looks at me again, asks a bunch of questions, leaves again. Comes back with another doctor who looks me over and agrees with the first doctor. He said whatever it was might have started with poison ivy. Then the first doctor looks in my eyes and mouth and shows me pictures in a book of what I have. The woman in the pictures looked like a zombie. Her gums and eyes were bleeding, and she was covered with little lesions that look just like mine. I have some kind of auto-immune thingy, something multiform. A virus got into my system, could have been a common cold, who knows. But my immune system wigged out and attacked my skin. YAY!
I got a double-dose of Celexa in my butt. That shit hurts!!! And he presecribed more steroids, an antihystamine and antibiotics.
I called off work and I'm sitting home with some videos and Soy Delicious.
