Hey kids, I'm back! Between moving and not having a computer setup, I have not been on here much to check it out and update. I am going to remedy that right now even though my computer is on top of some moving boxes and I am sitting on a cooler.
I have a lot to update so instead of boring you to death with one long ass entry, I am going to spread them out over a couple of days.
First, I finally got my new(ish) car. It is a certified Preowned 2005 Honda Element that I got a pretty good deal on. That deal did not come without hassle though. I found at a dealership in Marlow Heights, MD, and anyone that knows that area knows that by me being there, I double the cracker population. Anyway, the salesman was a real shit. Every question I asked, he gave me some round-about answer that had nothing to do with my question. And when I would talk price, he kept saying, "Come on down and get YOUR car, we'll figure all that out once you get here." No. We'll work out the price over the phone and then I'll drive the hour down there and pay for it. Every slimy salesperson trick he pulled I had to call him out on. He knew I was a salesman, and a damn good one at that, so why did he think he could use his pressure tactics on me? I finally had to tell him to, "Shut the fuck up and listen to me!" Literally. I told him for the 20th time what I wanted to pay and to give me a straight answer. What did he do? Not give me a straight answer. He kept saying when asked what the price was, "We're close, we're close can you come up a litlle?" At this point in time I had had enough. "Give me the fucking price." He then proceeded to quote me $3000 more than my offer. How is that close? I told him he just lost himself a deal and hung up on him. I get a call the following day from him wanting a second chance. He came down to $1000 more than my original price and I countered with $700 more plus I to be able to buy parts at dealer cost (I wanted to put a trailer hitch on it and some other stuff). He agreed. I drove down there and then he couldn't find the Certified Preowned paperwork and the extra set of keys. Plus the guy who detailed the car must have been blind because there were McDonalds wrappers under both seats. We finally got it all straightened out and I got my car.
God I hope they call me for a survey... PLEASE!!!
I gotta go. Not because I have something better to do, but because I cannot feel my legs from sitting on this cooler for too long.
