the first spring day in new york necessitates everyone getting off their asses and into central park to the great lawn or sheep's meadow. every inch of grass in the city gets covered with a white pasty human trying to soak up some rays. even the nasty park near the car wash north of chelsea piers with the piles of traffic all around was full of near naked new yorkers. *grin* i joined my friends on the great lawn for a few hours to soak in some rays. actually i never tan. i'm either red or white (i prefer white).

other ny newsflash: 3 dollar (good!) drinks in manhattan are rare. think caipirinha's and mojitos with fresh ingredients, good rum, and sugar cane to suck on. 3 bucks! paladar rocks during happy hour.
