so chalk today up as a pointless exercise in futility
since i'm unemployed (as of yesterday) went in for a required seminar for on campus recruitment. was late because the trains are fucked up again. turns out on campus recruitment doesn't have any jobs abroad ever so that hour was a waste of time. got an appt for a meeting with one of the chicks that actually DOES do recruitment in paris.
since i was down in the dumps from getting fired, my new chat friend rob decided to invite me out with the guys tonight in manhattan. i wasn't too into it, but my best friend (she's in california) insisted i quite my trend of being a hermit and go meet some new people. i show up to the bar where they're supposed to be and they're not there. rob doesn't answer his cell.
i decide on a different tack and go to a lesbian bar in the west village. when i get there it's not hopping but empties out quickly as soon as i get a drink. couples couples everywhere. so i leave to go home. i am beginning to think it can't get much fucking worse.
it does. the train decides to run express from pacific street causing me to miss my stop and have to walk 12 blocks. it now decides to rain. i decide to walk the extra block to dunkin donuts to fucking right a few of the karmic wrongs i have been delt this week. luckily the guy behind the counter feels sorry for me and asks why i'm so down because "you look so beautiful, how could it have been a bad day?" why argue with 19 yr old dunkin donut boys. i just found out after opening my bag that he threw in a marbled glazed donut for free. nice of him.
so now i've not only trekked in and back from manhattan for no reason at all, i've also gotten drenched. ok i get the hint! i must have done something to upset the gods.

It always seems that when it goes wrong it has to go so wrong as to make ibeing fired look preferable then to have all of the bricks fall. i had a few monthe like that...you have no clue, it can get so crazy so fast. snowballs...anywho yeah, ask me about my curent situation for a good example of your "good luck"
