Congrats to the US citizens who voted for Obama, and at least a glimmer of sanity. We live in a world with rampant militarism, a declining and warming environment, growing poverty, and the idiots who would support someone like Romney deny all of this, and believe that the world is 6,000 years old. I am not claiming that Obama is going to solve all of our problems, or any of them, but he might in fact listen, and avoid the truly dumb things that Romney would do.

What would I like to see in the world? I would like to see corporations held accountable for their actions. I would like to see the rich who hide behind corporations held accountable for their actions. I would like to see people placed first, rather than money and profits, in the scheme and order of things. I would like to see governments, the military, and the police force all be held accountable to the people they are supposedly their to protect and serve.

I am not overly optimistic about the future. I see many of the problems becoming apparent now still ignored by those in power, who merely wish to protect their own short term interests. By the middle of this century global warming will have greatly damaged out planet, but by then it will be too late to change.
