Hi everyone! I have some news, for those of you who have been following my adventures you will recall that I have been planning a voyage on a freighter. And if has come to pass:



I am officially leaving the fair city of Perth on the 6th of June and heading north, braving pirates, sea monsters, and non-vegetarian cookingall in the name of adventure. The trip will take 8 days, I have a cabin to myself (called an 'owner's cabin because in the good old days the owner occasionally came along for the trip), and there are a range of amenities (but no casin or 5 star restaurant as on one of those wimpy cruise ship). As the day approaches I am getting more excitied!

But take a look at this, my ship:



This is a pink ship! Now, I respect everyone's right to chose their own thing, but a pink ship! I suppose it might be easier to see at sea, but, I mean, a great, big pink ship! Would Columbus have gone to sea in a pink ship, would Magellan, would Captain Cook (Aust hist ref)? But it looks like I will be. I gotta say, it gives new meaning to the term 'shiver me timbers'!
