So, if you could vacation anywhere, where would you go?
- Me, Spain. Love the architecture, food, and wine. Speak a little of the language. And it's several political, linguistic, and geographical countries, all in the same country, what fun!!
- Second choice would be island hopping on a sailboat, just about anyplace warm...
- Unfortunately, the closest I'm going to get anytime soon, is a weekend in Gloucester (schooner ride though...)!

I just grabbed those pics of the PBY off the net. If I remember correctly that particular one was for sale and it was off of a classified ad of sorts. I've had a pipe dream for years of operating one of those out of some place like Miami or Ft. Lauderdale. You know, like scuba charters all over the Carribean, that kind of thing. I don't know what kind of restrictions you would have as far as decompression and cruise altitudes or that kind of stuff. Its more of a romantic notion of mine than anything else. I guess my lack of capital has prevented me from looking into more than anything else. But I definitely feel you as far as catching a ride in one of them or a B-17. I was ecstatic just to see an actual B-17 in flight last year. I had seen one once before, however it wasn't airworthy. But just to be there when that gorgeous girl fired up those four magnificent radial engines..... man I tell you. It just gave me goosebumps. I was magically transported back in time to the eighth Air Force in England. I caught it on video and as soon as I got home I slapped the tape in the vcr and cranked up the volume. NOTHING beats the sound of a radial engine. Sexiest thing in the world I swear! You could pay five bucks and go aboard it and when I went I went with a guy who was a ball turret gunner on one of them. I was just in awe. The stories he told me.
Anyways... sorry for the book I left you. I'm just glad you found our group. Tell anybody else you know about it. It will be a small group, but it will be filled with the coolest people here damnit!
