Details on what we call Godfather Day.

Years ago, Steve (a best friend of mine) and I decided to watch the whole Godfather Trilogy on the day after Christmas. That has become a tradition and has grown into the awful beast known as Godfather Day. It starts at 7:30 am when he and I run to the city for italian pastries and italian lunch meats from his favorite italian deli. We also have a couple of drinks at his favorite italian bar too. Then it is back to the house where we (about 10-12 people, watch the Godfathers and have themed drinks. The first one is coffee with Sambuca. The second is bloody marys. The third is rum and coke (when they go to Cuba) the fourth is a Campari and orange juice. the whole day is wine and beer and usually random shots. We finish with a Spaghetti dinner cooked (drunkenly) by yours truly.
It makes for a very long day.
In other news, it was a mostly nice Christmas. A little uneventful with nothing to make it seem extraordinarily Christmasy. Moonbeam and I are exchanging gifts later today though. I'm still looking forward to see what she thinks of her gift.
