On the horizon, the sailor sees the beast that is sobriety and knows that he is the intended victim.
Thats right, folks. The end of the year always signifies the oncoming "Irish Lent" I take part in annually. No drinking after superbowl until the weekend before St.Pats. More on that as it draws nearer.
The holidays were kind. I actually took the time to spend with the family and have grown closer to my parents. (not that we weren't close to begin with.) Work has been slow at one job and busy at the other (which works because I still get paid at the slow job and add hours at the busy one.) And as presents, a lot of people gave me motivational/ practical tools to help out with the resolutions.
And that, being the next order of business, goes as follows:
In the new year I will:
1) Walk at least twice a week (if not more) hopefully for at least a combined 10-12 miles.
2) A book of at least 500 pages every month.
3) After buying a house (almost there) I will regroup and settle most of my finances.
4) Go to at least one concert a month. (No rolling over months either.)
5) Blog more.
I might think of more, we'll see.
Ad those of you who have volunteered, have my permission to give me as much shit as you want, if you find out I'm not meeting those goals.
On the relationship status? It is going well. I been hanging out with the same girl and it has grown comfortable enough for us to do and say and tell each other what is going on. She is always open to suggestion and indulges me in my little interests. Her naughty side matches mine as does her affectionate side. Not to mention that she is truly beautiful and has the most amazing body. I'd say more but it would look like I was trying to get in her pants with compliments (I bought her a subscription for her birthday so she is a member now.) And it wouldn't matter anyhow because 1) She is very modest and compliments are accepted but not always agreed with and 2) She doesn't usually refuse a request to get in her pants. Most importantly, we always have fun with what we do. Whether it is going out, messing around or just spending the whole day doing nothing. I constantly look forward to seeing her.
