Whew...I feel better now.

I really appreciate the kind words (and pictures) from all of you who have expressed concern. We finally got my mom home after stints in ICU, two hospitals and a nursing/rehab facility and she is doing well and continuing to improve. I've never been on such a lengthy emotional roller coaster ride. Not something I'd wish on anyone, even the older kid down the street that used to pick on me when I was eight. It seems like I haven't even logged in here in months...

Now at last I feel well enough to devote some time to issues that really matter to me, like expressing my horror at how many varieties of Crest there are now. Man, nobody better hand me the reins to the telethon, 'cause that's where I'd be directing Jerry Lewis' eradicatory energies....

I'm not even sure that makes sense. But I'm not touching the destructo-key...

All seriousness aside, things are starting to look up a bit...I've made a couple new friends, the band is doing better, my boss has gone on vacation for two weeks (woohoo!) and I'm looking forward to a 4th of July at Eureka Springs, my favorite weekend getaway spot...
