Why can't it just be acceptable for one to take ones own life? Why does it have to be selfish or negative?

Yeah that is true, but they have to understand how bad someone is suffering for them to want to take their own life. And in time they will get over that someone being gone.

my best friend committed suicide last summer. I'm never going to get over that.
