so, i just went to my high school's band alumni night. this is when all of the alumni band members can come back and play in pep band at a basketball game. its probably scary to admit, but i loved it. it was like reliving the best moments of my senior year of high school over again.

i guess you have to understand my high school. its incredibly small (there were only 42 in my graduating class), so everyone knows everyone. im still close with my band director, we talk every few months (i guess thats not close, but its better than the rest of my teachers from high school). i guess in a wierd way, it makes me miss high school. driving home, i crossed through the same cornfields, on the same one lane quasi-gravel road that i drove to and from school every day.

it just made me miss all of the friends that aren't friends anymore. not in any real sense. the times that will never happen again. and can never happen.
