@missy and @rambo homework here, on favorite places we've travelled. I actually haven't been out of the country aside from Mexico (which I live about 5 minutes from) but the 1 hr trip to the Coachella festival is now one of my top places.
Ive attended Coachella a couple times, it usually falls on my birthday weekend or my moms, so thats why we celebrate it often. Car camping always, because you get the full blown Coachella experience. No wimpy hotel for me, not that I could afford that anyway haha.
A few tips to take with you to Coachella:
The best time to shower is during the late night when the big bands are still playing. I was too tired to watch Outcast play the first night (my neighbors said i didnt miss anything amazing) so i showered while everyone was gone.
Put sunscreen on every few hours religiously and wear something to hide your back like an overshirt, umbrella, or big hat. Seriously, you'll regret it and it will make the next few days way less enjoyable.
Bring 3 pairs of shoes. One pair for walking, one pair for walking, and the last pair of walking. That will be all you do. My mothers pedometer read 25,000 steps by the middle of the day
Bring a canteen and refill ever hour. Also check out the craft beer section because its only a dollar more than the shitty Heineken and its twice the alcohol. Score on that one.
I should also mention the food was fucking amazing. They had vegan options for a lot of places and i dont care how hipster i sound because vegan blood orange chocolate sorbet and chocolate sweet potato tarte are the highlights of my life now.
Arcade fire, broken bells, chvrches, haim, temples, and courtney barnett were some of the bands i got to dance and sing to this weekend. I survived with only one blister and a leg full of hives. I lost my phone the second day which really sucked, and @boom helped me retrieve it from a good samaritan. Its a damn miracle, and i promised jesus i would get him tattooed if i found my phone. So, stay tuned for that one. (@morrow, thats the other tattoo i mentioned haha)
