So what's everyone think about Google Wave? Sounds like it could be fun....although....

Here's an article questioning whether allowing Google to possess so much of our information is a good idea...

It's not really the stuff of conspiracy theories. It's not so much a question of what evil advertising things they might use our information for, but more a question of what if they lose interest like they did with usenet.

In other news, DVD Jon is sticking it to the man (Steve Jobs that is), and attempting to undermine the power of the new evil empire. Go team.

Meanwhile, as Google and Apple appear to battle for control of the future of teh interwubz.... has anyone heard anything about Microsoft? I know they've released Windows 7 and Bing, but no one seems especially excited about either of them.

Does anyone do the cloud computing thing here? Personally I can't see the advantage of paying someone else to store my shit, even if it means I can pull it up on widely separated computers. I rarely use anything apart from my own computers, and when I do, I usually have the files I need on a USB stick, cuz they're not that big.

I wonder where all this is going.
