red disturbed eyefunk is going away, so it's not pink eye- thanks for all your prayers

I slept in til 9:30, popped on NPR and woke up. I grabbed my Outlaw Bible of American Poetry in an attempt to finish it and ran out (not literally) to sit in the sun and soak up the rays on this most beautiful of Saturdays. I made it through about 4 pages before snoozing seemed MUCH more productive... tossing the book away i did just that.

(just before nodding off, i caught this little tidbit from a poem by David Lerner:
...I came not to bury poetry
but to blow it up
not to dandle it on the knee
like a retarded kid with
beautiful eyes
but

throw it off a cliff into
icy seas and
see if the motherfucker can
swim for its life
because love is an excellent thing
surely we need it....

Grrrrr, and i jsut wrote a bunch more about the picnic my landlord had with pictures and everything... but the site must have cut it all off. FUCKERS!! Go see the guys dangling in the trees and Uriah's pink spiked mohawk.
