I think that just kinda sums it up. I have soooo much I want to say, but I'm not sure how to put it all down in words. Yet, I was told I "have to write a journal entry."
I'll start on Friday and work my way up to the present, I guess.
Friday
Well, apart from terrible weather, the day started out on a high note when I won $2 from Dr. McEvoy in Soci. Actually, I won it from the Lottery, but he bought the ticket so it was free to me.
I came back and took a nap and then dyed my hair and finished up my eyebrows, nothing all that interesting.
At dinner we all talked and so forth about stuff and they made me figure out how many until Ian got here.
After dinner I started to get antsy and fidgety and was doing anything to keep my mind off the hours until Ian got here. I tried to do homework and got absolutely nothing accomplished. I managed to get through two columns in the article I was reading and that was it.
I went to work and tried in vein to get more done, but that just didn't happen. I wound up just sitting and chatting with Sib and then Ellen showed up and we looked at pictures of boys that they drooled over. Jen came and joined the party and Ian got here and we all went out and greeted him in the rain. High on crack? Yes, we were.
When I got off work Ian and I dropped his stuff off in my room and went down stairs to meet some people who, well, wanted to meet him. He and my little worked out a system in which she said "roof" but pronounced it "ruff" and he would respond with "aboot." It was amusing to say the least.
We came back up to my room and went right to bed, but I annoyed him by poking him for a while because I wasn't really all that sleepy, but he can't say he didn't like it.
Saturday
We woke up butt ass early because I had to work, got our stuff together, and braved the nastiest, coldest rain I've seen in a while. We walked over to the student center to find EVERY door locked. Yeah, damn fucking annoying. We waited around a good ten minutes - so it was about 8:50-ish - and no one had come to open it up yet, so we went back to my room for like 45 minutes to lay down and warm up.
Ian kept me company at work while we watched the news about the Pope. We just kinda sat and joked around until I got off and then we came back to change and make ourselves presentable to go to the mall.
Let me tell you, driving in that stuff was shit. My car is too light to handle strong winds well and was blowing all over. I wasn't very happy to have to work at keeping my car straight, but we got there safe and kinda wandered.
We headed to the food court and grabbed a quick bite before finding Journey's so Ian could look at shoes. I found a pair that caught my eye and pointed them out to him. What do ya know, he chose those. ;-) I have good taste, afterall.
We got back from the mall earlier than we had anticipated and decided to lay down for a bit since we were both rather tired and our nap wound up lasting far longer than anticipated due to excessive amounts of saying we could get ready in shorter and shorter amounts of time. Ha. I just really wanted to lay there snuggling longer.
We finally got up and got ready for formal in the shortest amount of time humanly possible and headed to the house. We got there in plenty of time to get settled in and say hey to a few people before getting in the van - in which we didn't get to sit next to each other :-(.
We got there and the place looked great, Lisa and her crew did a good job decorating the place. It was a really pretty space too. Ian and I mingle so I could introduce him to the people that wanted to meet him the most. The food was really good and they had a fair amount of vegetarian stuff, so I was happy. The dessert was non-existent through some sort of mix up, but it was cool by me.
The music started and it was mostly rap and r&b and for some reason I just wasn't feeling it. So, I stayed with Ian and we talked with anyone who was at our table and generally had a really great time without leaving our table. We had a great discussion with Ellen and others. There was some throwing of the table decorations and I think in sum total 20 of those little rocks wound up down my dress at some point or another. I did dance one slow dance with Ian, and then one with each Tyler, Tittle, and Ellen. Generally, I had a fabulous time.
On the drive home Ian and I got to sit next to each other which was good because we snuggled the entire way back. Too bad we got to watch the back of Candy's head making out with her boyfriend. :-P That was not cool, but it was just about the cutest thing ever when Ian fell asleep laying his head on my shoulder/chest. :-)
When we got back, we pretty much went right to bed because we were both freaking exhausted from everything.
Sunday
We woke up at about 11 or a little after, but we didn't get up until hours after that. I just didn't want to get up, I was content laying there and cuddling until he had to leave, but we finally got up and I skipped out on my shower because my towel was hiding from me and we were hungry.
We went out to grab a bite at Wendy's and then came back to campus for me to draw him a little map of where he was going in Springfield and to say goodbye. :-(
I really did have a wonderful weekend and I hope to have more like it. Hell, I wish that we lived closer so that it could be a more frequent occurence.
On some random side notes:
-Ellen thinks Ian is adorable, that we are really cute together, and that he's really nice.
-Ellen made him pinky promise her a Canadian boy just so he would have to come back down to see me again. I heart her so much. Ha ha.
-Ruff. Eh.
-Watching Candy and her boy go at it is not cool.
-Lisa is an amazing roommate.
-Anthony really seems to want to take me to Canada as soon as Ian can figure out where to put all of us.
