Porcupine Tree last night was beyond perfection. Probably the greatest musical performance I have ever witnessed.

Here's an updated record of all the shows I've been to since the end of '06 (minus some from before I started keeping a record of them). As well as the shows I'm planning on going to through next January. Many many many more will be added, but this is the list as it stands right this minute.

So I've been really bored with SG lately. I haven't really bothered keeping a blog going, because rarely does anyone ever comment on it. So if no one out there is reading it, why should I bother to post anything. That's just simple logic. Most of the people I talk to on here rarely ever get on anymore. So I never get messages. There's just...

OMG, all right, it's obvious that a summer like that is a big reason for being jealous shocked So, you are photographer? Really good luck meeting interesting people. I've never seen Coheed&Cambria, I think they haven't been to Spain yet... Well, Spain is never taking very good shows... That's one of many reasons why I'd like to be in the USA, or at least in any other good European capital like London or Paris... Shows here are really scanty and the bands I likeare too hard to take here... frown
The pict with Ronnie is tooooooo cool man! Haha
I wonder next summer I am in California, probably in San Francisco smile

Well, Sunday August 2nd and Tuesday August 4th were probably the 2 most awesome days I've ever had...and here's the long rambling story as to why...

On Sunday I went to see The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus at Soma here in San Diego. The show wasn't really anything spectacular, not anywhere near as awesome as last year when I saw RJA. The turnout was very disappointing...

This made me cry. I don't care what you think about the man, these children lost the only parent they ever knew. And it's pretty apparent they loved him greatly.

veder:
I agree! I wept like a baby watching that last night!
His poor kids!!

My first Set is online, tell me if you like it or not with a comment. Thank you.

I'm sick of arguing with retarded morons that can't grasp simple concepts and resort to personal attacks when they don't have anything else to say related to the issue.

Not to mention, everything is speculation. The media's been proven to be wrong in the past, and this whole ordeal has been blown way out of proportion. Envy is eternal and 99% of people who have an opinion on Michael never even met the guy.

Save your breath.
evthekiller:
Thank you Cass.

I guess I need to say this one more time, since it seems like people keep saying retarded shit about MJ.

Can we just put all of the negative stuff aside and remember the man for the enormous contributions he made to the world of music? He made, without question, some of the greatest music that's ever been made. He revolutionized and perfected the art...

Popularity does not equal talent. (I hope you don't need me to list examples...think about it.)

And I am basing my opinion of him on all the same things everyone else does, all the media I have been exposed to regarding him including his own positions and statements (that I am aware of/remember), I have just come to a different conclusion than you.

Like I said, nothing about him ever made me think or feel he was a genuine, honest, caring, believable individual. And I felt this way when I was a child, and children don't lie to themselves about what they think and feel.

What evidence do you have that he really did "love his fans"?

It seems to me that in order to be as successful and popular as he was, meaning, he made lots of money, he made things people wanted to buy, you'd have to be kind of savvy and business-minded and calculating and maybe, maybe, manipulative.

As in, "Ah, if I do this, then I can make people spend money because maybe some of them will like it and then I will have that money."

And that doesn't fit with the all-loving-unnatural-innocence-bit. Unless he was an idiot-savant. In which case someone would have noticed and he wouldn't have done all sorts of other things he did.

Especially when you also consider some of the stuff that did come out about him, including how he treated his own children, including the extravagance in which he chose to live, etc, etc.

Would you ever put your child in danger the way he did his when he held that baby out over that balcony?

What evidence are you basing your opinions on?

You shouldn't absolve someone of responsibility, morality, honesty, good judgment, all those things, just because you and some other people liked some music.

Or, to put it another way: Actions speak louder than words.

So, song lyrics about world peace and some popularity or sketchy legal settlements, videos of very very bad parenting choices, and numerous verifiable reports of things (the monkey, the amusement park, the zoo, the extreme body modification, the little boy sleep-overs regardless of proof of actual abuse, add it up.) that would make anyone with any common sense question his mental stability?

So, that's what I'm basing my poor opinion of him as an individual on.
