I'm heeeeere! Last night I caught up on a bit of missed sleep and before I fell asleep I made a decision - I would wake up before the sun rises and walk/run to my friend's place just over 4km away and I would get back into my healthy eating habits. I made it a symbolic experience; why should I wait for the new year to make a positive change or commitment? I can do this any time if I persist. So this morning I woke up at 5:30am and at 6am I was out the door, on my way to my friend's. I got there in just under 40 minutes - which isn't impressive, really. But I made the choice to do this and I did. Next time I think I would like to beat my time and may actually make this a regular exercise and to track my progress not by weightloss or restricting my diet, but instead by how my body feels and strengthens. This is my new resolution, new year or not.

Getting up early to work out is the best time to do it, then you can’t talk yourself out of it during the rest of the day leading up to it 😂 plus you feel so accomplished by the time everyone else is up

Shoe stores in CBD are pretty good for advice! As long as you get the right ones for your foot shape / material you run on 💪
