This weekend has been a nightmare temperature-wise: up to 35°C (that's 95°F) throughout the day, and only slightly cooler at night made for some uneasy sleep the past two nights, with even warmer temperatures predicted for the coming hours. So I've made the grown-up decision to turn off most of the appliances in order to not cause even hotter temperatures at home - good-bye TV, so long interwebs!
Instead, I turned to my pile of unread comics (I buy them at my local comic book store and never find the time to read them - it gets worse the more I buy) and caught up on 'Batman Eternal' which is a weekly series set in the DC Universe. I've only recently started reading comic books again and tried to ease slowly in the current Batman universe - apparently there is more than Adam West and Burt Ward being Batman and Robin :P My favourite character currently is Bluebird (Harper Row) who's got that alt/SuicideGirls look going for her and who's also characterized as a strong, badass superhero - contrary to many other female characters I got to know over time (with a handful of recent exceptions).
I binge-read through 9 issues today and am done for now - until next Wednesday (more likely Thursday or Friday where I'm living) when the next one is out.
And now back to trying to move as little as possible and drinking lots and lots of water... the forecast says there will be thunderstorms tomorrow, so here's hoping for some cooler temperatures... :)
