i've been to prague!
hopefully this will revive my blog
last time i blogged i was still 24 and very optimistic about life! well, just days after my last post i turned 25 and i now feel officially old
anyway, summer has been good - not too hot, which is bad for my tan but good for my temper, as i'm living in the top floor of a building, directly under the roof - as soon as it's sunny for a day, my room's got an average temperature of 30C (that's nearly 90 freakin' fahrenheit!).
my original plan was to travel all of europe, when all of a sudden a few days before i left i became sick - not too bad, still bad enough for a change of plans. been to cologne to visit gamescom, came back with a bundle of beta keys for online games i've never heard of before!
after getting rid of my nasty cough, i decided to visit prague - it's been on my list for a long time, i primarily held off because i don't speak a single word of czech. turns out people in praha are very understanding when it comes to stupid europeans who only speak english
i stayed at buddha bar hotel, once a year i can afford luxury - i really regret not having taken my camera with me, this would've been the _ideal_ location for a shoot. also there was a tv by the bathtub. 'nuff said!
prague is definitely a great town, been to all the touristy places... it does remind me a lot of home, given the history this is not too surprising, yet everything seems a lot cleaner and, somehow, cuter in comparison to vienna. shops being open mondays-sundays is also a huge plus, if you're the shopping kind of person.
3 days of course weren't enough to visit everything, next time i'll check out the museums and hopefull will have a better idea of food there (vegetarian restaurants seem even hard to find than in vienna). praha is definitely up there with the other cities i really like, if completely different from, let's say for example amsterdam or london.
a huge recommendation from me
i really hope this gets my blogging thing running again, there's a lot on my mind to be written down, so maybe i use the opportunity this time
